Sumitranandan Pant Government Degree College, Garur (Bageshwar) was started in the year 2006 in the natural valley of Garur under the supervision of Dr. D. C. Pant, founding Principal, Government P. G. College, Bageshwar. In 2019 the college was named after the name of Sumitranandan Pant who is a renowned romantic poet of Hindi literature. The beautiful tourist places in the surrounding of the college are Baijnath Temple, Kausani, Kotbhramari Temple, and Gwaldam that enhance the glamour of it.
